In addition to our regular sustainability initiatives, we have also made it a priority to work with local community organizations to do our part for those in need.
Food insecurity is defined as the lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life.
Within the US:
37.2 million people lived in food-insecure households in 2018.
4.4 million people in California were reported as being food-insecure in 2017.

Since Thistle only works with fresh food, we make sure to donate a portion of our meals at the end of every delivery cycle (that’s every Monday, Wednesday & Friday).
